SUBSTITUTE TEACHER APPLICANTS- If you have not already read through the list of requirements, please go to the district homepage, click on the picture that says Employment Opportunities, and then scroll down to Substitute Teaching Applicants link. Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) retirees that are employed after September 1, 2008 with the Oldham County Schools must waive health insurance coverage through KRS and enroll in health insurance coverage through the school district. If you accept employment with the Oldham County Schools, you are required to complete a physical, drug screening and a criminal background check. For this type of employment, state law requires a state criminal history background check as a condition of employment. Under certain circumstances, a National Criminal History Background check may be required as a condition of employment. You will be contacted to attend an orientation and be given details about this requirement at that time.
